got my cams in but i broke my bov nipple... anyone got one they can lend/sell me before the tune day?

i have a go fast bits bov i just bought but the sound isnt what i thought it was and i dont think i am going to use it. i have my stock one in now. i will sell it to you if you are interested.

ive got the stock plastic one laying around somewhere.

thats cool, i went and bought a greddy type rs today. kinda figured since i managed to break 2 stock bovs. maybe i should get something different. i recirced it and my car works fine....except the 5th gear surging at anything under 8 psi @ cruising speed.

Tighten your spring down...I had the same issue when I was running the RS.

tighten or loosen? cause if i tighthen it (hard) it surges in other gears too. right now it only does it in 5th.

Doh...sorry, I wrote that wrong. You can also remove the smaller spring and then tighten it down. That will remove the low boost chuffing.

ha... he said chuff lol ..... yeah, i think we both have discovered recently that tuning the damn BOV is a pain in the rear. I am going to go with a straight diverter valve i think.

YES he is bringing the boost tester to H&H....or I'll strangle him with his OBD II tester cord

OK fellas, one more day till the tuning begins! I'll be at the shop tomorrow morning around 8:00 or 8:30. Looking foward to meeting all of you! Be safe on the drive and give me or H&H a call if you have any problems.

Just so no one has to look I'll post the tune times again here.

Saturday:

1. 9-11 Tribal (Dyno Custom)
2. 11-1 psycko069 (Dyno Custom)
3. 1-3 evojacko (Dyno Custom)
4. 3-5 theEVOdream (Dyno Tune)
5. 5-7 brokeazzlos (Dyno Custom)

Sunday: (same time slots)

1. 9-11 loltom (Dyno Custom)
2. 11-1 Subydudesti (Dyno Custom)
3. 1-3 Sick9 (Dyno Custom)
4. 3-5 HP06MR (Dyno Custom)
5. 5-7 4G2NR (Dyno Custom)

Monday:

Great turnout todal fellas, thanks for all being early and ready to go. We finished at 5:30...much earlier than anticipated and that's a good thing for Chris and H&H. I look foward to tomorrow and meeting the rest of you guys.

If anyone who was tuned today wants to start the "FAYETTEVILLE AMS TUNE DYNO NUMBERS" thread, go right ahead, I'll post my results on Monday. See ya'll tomorrow!
