350HP with BC 272's what do u think?

We made 350whp with a 05' MR that has a tbe,o2 housing,kn drop in filter, mbc @ 22.5psi peak tapering to around 17-18psi,walbro 255 and BC 272's(cheap). FLASHED! This was done on stock valve train and no cam gears. I think we could squeeze a little more if we changed the tbe to a less restrictive one, and also try to hold the boost a little better. How does these numbers compare to u guys that are running hks 272's with similar mods. Seen that these cams are like half the price of others we had to try them and see what the results would be. What do you think...?

let's keep it constructive........please!

Great numbers, mix review on bc cams kind of makes it real confusing for some1 looking 4 an alternative 2 hks cams. If u are running dc dp which eliminates the tp how is it restrictive??????? What cat back are u running????

Also i got ur pm no point in returning it now since im not set on cams yet based on the reason i sent u on PM.

Nice. I've got HKS 272s with HKS cam gears and have been trying out different settings. The post is at https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...&postcount=210

The conversation goes on at https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...=74284&page=14

i'd say those numbers are pretty good, and I suspect my numbers may not be as accurate as they have been derived from DataLogLab (DLL). It's the only tool I have on hand, and my car will be going in for a proper dyno on Saturday where I will be trying out various maps to see how the car performs. Dyno charts will follow

Imitation greddy, bottles down at the front were it meets the downpipe, and in the muffler canister.

Let me be the first to say thank you for testing these cams. As far as i know there is only 1 other person on here who has dyno'd these cams, but he made 700+ whp so his results don't really help us much. You guys did a perfect test with just the right mods.

These cams have been long due for a test, and seeing that they are 1/2 the price of most other cams, I am happy to see them make not only average, but good power.

For comparison most 2005 VIII's with those mods and HKS's will make about 330 whp. Yes some have made more, but a general rule of thumb is that those mods + cams will net you 330 whp on and VIII and 360 with a IX.
