Well we just received our assignment and will be moving to Tyndall on Oct. I am really excited to me coming back to the states after 4 years in Europe.

Few questions:

Need to find a nice area to live. Any suggestions?

Need some warranty work on my Evo. Any "friendly" dealers nearby?

TIA.

Steven

Hey Steven,
I dont live in Panama City or anywhere near it but Ive been up there twice now on business trips.

Driving from Panama City to Port St. Joe, you'll pass thru Mexico Beach which has ALOT of beach front property. Alot of it was up for sale/rent when I was up there.

We drove pass Tyndall Air Force base also.

Don't know if we can afford beach front property on our meager military pay but thanks for the info!

Panama City area is huge which encompasses the Santa Rosa island from Destin/Ft. Walton all the way to Pensacola. You'll not have any probs finding a good place. Hope you like the HEAT and HUMIDITY.....cause it's about as tough as it gets....My dad is in Pensacola some the whitest sand beaches in the world. There is a big Evo community down there...do some searching on the www. you'll find those guys....

PANAMA CITY, you lucky @#$@$. That's the base i wanted. I'm actually from around there. I grew up going to Panama City Beach and spring break and all that good stuff. Your going to love it there. I'm so jealous. We'll hopefully when my time comes i go there.

LOL Karl. We just got our assignment yesterday. Gonna be a big difference from what we have here in the UK, huh?

Anyone know of any friendly dealers? The future of my 9k mile Evo depends on it. I have the infamous 5th gear grind and my carbon wing is getting white spots.
I tried to get it fixed back in December (@ 7,400 miles) but the Mitsu dealer was closing permanently and wouldn't be able to finish it in time.

Jason(jhanksevo) is stationed there. Shoot him a pm, he should be able to help you out with questions. Good luck with the change of duty station. I always hated all the work associated with transferring when I was in the military.
