I'm from New York and I'm taking my evo8 down to Myrtle Beach SC from August 4th-11th for vacation. Coming down with a buddy of mine who has family down there but I'm wondering if there will be any carmeets, carshows, trackdays, etc. while I'm down there. Also wondering if theres any nice drives to take while I'm down there. Any help or info would be appeciated guys\gals.....Thanks in advance

The only show i know of in August around here is on August 18-19th.
Thats the FunkMaster Flex Show at MB conv. Center.
All the big vendors will be there with TV coverage so it should be a good show.
I've already entered for a spot inside the conv. ctr., but they will have outside spots open also.

As far as good drives go, it's all flat and straight around here, so none to really speak of.
Although the new highway 31 is a good road.
6 lanes all open and hardly any cops for about 15-20 miles.
I've pushed 140 on that road with no problems..
It's fairly new so not alot of ppl know about it.

As far as weekly meets, no not really, not many evo's around here.
I've seen maybe 3 in the area and thats about it.
Quite a few in SC, but not here in MB.

Lots of clubs and bars around, best place is Broadway at the Beach, 20+ clubs /bars there. good nightlife, you'll like it..
Girls Gone Wild has been taping here all week, lol
so it gets crazy..

Sick9 ill be coming down there on the 13th through the 21st . My car is a yellow 03 with c-west bodykit and stock wheels painted black and evodave painted my head and tail lights like an MR but if you see me around stop me. I'm from myrtle beach as well, i live off 501 over by coastal. If anyone is interested me and a bunch of my V8 buddies are heading to Darlington tonight to run on the 1/4. I just got a new clutch in my car so i want to see how it performs. And also next week another group of guys are thinking about heading to Darlington to run their cars, and i have some new parts i'm putting on this weekend so i'll probably go next week as well, so that would be perfect for you, hk2ronin, if you or anyone else that posted on here wants to head to Darlington with us. Sick9, i always look for your car when i pass Miyabi's, always so damn clean and looking good. Post on here and let me know if any of you guys want to head to Darlington, later.
