Spun rod bearing is better than broken rod through block. Not a lot better, but better.

The key is catching it immediately and taking it down asap.

The fact that you kept driving it for some time may have increased the damage.

Removing all of the bearing metal from the oiling system is most important. The bearing gets chewed up and ends up in the oil cooler. You can end up rebuilding the motor, put it back, only to ruin the new bearings again from the oil cooler metal particles re-circulating the system again.

Best of luck. With meth injection and high boost comes great responsibility. Moreso than having kids.

That's the thing... We took the oil pan off, and the bearings looked exactly like the ones I had bought and ordered from the dealer.... Nothing on the bottom of the oil pan and the pistons looked good under the the car... The top of the piston is clean as day and we can't figure WTF is wrong....

I still get a ticking noise at low RPM range and I'm kocking also.....

Also, the lifters were replaced with the rockers and still I got the same damn issue...

May be there are a couple of warpe'd valves. That will cause a taping noise and lost in power.

Take the Head off Ruben. That is the next step.

you may be right !! Sometimes when a car is tuned too lean or the timing is off the valves will get hot and they can break off or bend !!! So even if you fix the mehanical problem you may still have a tunning issue or an issue with the computer of the car or some of the sensors . Good point there man

Your right Manny... I'm just hoping it's that, and nothing wrong with the crank or anything like that... That's big $$$ right there...

But the guys said the bottom end is perfect, but the fact that he wasn't able to tell me exactly what's wrong has me doubting his expertise...

JestR and I looked at the logs, everything was perfect... I don't think it's the tune... We're check and double it and even while it's knocking, it's still good all the way around... Just runs really rich when it pulls timing is all... not lean by any means...

But you may be right, as I don't know if they set the cam gears or cams in the right timing... IDK... the issue started after 4 days after the build... But I have stock cam gears...

lets just pretend that the valves are indeed bent .. Now that can ONLY happen if they make contact or with heat !!! Now if the car was put back together wrong then you would've heard the noise that very same day , now - if you hear it 4 days later it's something else !!! I've seen all sorts of things happen to cars over the years , and that may be one of the many things that could be the problem . Once I see you in person I will explain to you how it all works so that this NEVER happens to you ever again !!!!
