Upcoming track Days
Good day all,
This is quick invitation that the Triangle Z club and Tarheel SCC has two track events coming up. The last event was great, and if you ask anyone who attended, we all had a blast. It's a real fun atmosphere and if you want a little competition, there is a Time trial series done as well. Mostly though it's just some fun on a safe road course and good instructors. For those who haven't been to one before, below are some details. This is open to all makes a models. If there are any questions, feel free to email Stacy King or Myself. here are some details and dates.
September 20th & 21st - Roebling Road Raceway
Event HQ:
RAMADA Limited Airport-
800-228-3344
November 1st & 2nd - Carolina Motorsports Park
Event HQ:
Colony Inn
1-800-356-9801
Camden, SC
We have a full course VIR event in February as well.
Here are some basic requirements for participating in our events:
--- Helmet: Snell rated M95 or SA95 minimum (SA required for time trial)
--- Long sleeves & pants of natural fibers
--- A desire to learn and have fun!!
Our driving schools consist of two days of both track and classroom instruction. We have three student rungroups (based on experience) and one instructor group. This means that no matter what your experience level - from first timer to seasoned track vet - there's a place for you at our events.
The 'Green' group offers beginners a chance to get their feet wet. There is no pressure to go fast, so you can drive at your own comfort level. Emphasis is placed on car control, familiarization with driving at speed, and track protocol.
The 'Yellow' group is a step up - more experienced drivers (3 or more events) equates to a higher confidence level and enhanced enjoyment. Almost all of the cars in these run groups are street driven cars with minimal modifications, however the diversity of cars is astonishing.
The 'Blue' group is for the advanced students and "instructors in training". This is a much faster run group, where rules of the track are second nature. Many of the cars in this group are 'weekend' track cars, although there are still lots of street driven high-performance cars here.
The 'White' group is for instructors only. Watching this group is extremely entertaining. Most of the cars in this group are dedicated track cars driven by dedicated track junkies. The guys and gals in this group are basically practicing for the Time Trial later in the day or honing their skills to pass on to their students. We encourage every student to take a ride with their instructor during one of the Sunday White group sessions - a true BLAST!
The Tar Heel Sports Car Club handles the Time Trial portion of the weekend. The Time Trial is open to qualified students and instructors with the proper safety equipment (like a roll bar, harness, and fire extinguisher), and the proper experience. For only $25 more, you get to be professionally timed against other cars in your class (SCCA SOLO I rules). For more info on the Time Trial click here.
More details and entry forms are available at the website:

I really want to see some Evo’s out there this year since we have all waited so long for them to come to the US.
