I'm here, working like a slave right now. 3/8 is trying to do the 15 month workup. Non-stop for the last month and a half. I get a break at Op Chiefs Course starting on Monday.

 

I haven't seen anyone lately.

If anyone is down to get together let me know. My brother should be getting his Supra back (****in finally) either tomorrow or Saturday. Majestic some how lost the Kevlar timing belt so we had to reorder that. We've probably spent $1500+ in just reordered parts. This car better fly when it's all said and done.

Sucks gotta break the car in for about 500 miles!!

Oh I wish it was like that. Matt's Supra got broken into while at Majestic and they stole his console piece, Truboost, etc. Busted the window as well. They covered NOTHING!! The only thing they did was put in the new window that we had to order.

And all shops have signs that say something like "Not responsible for lost or stolen property" so they don't have to cover anything when it gets stolen or "lost."



Here's the part that should make people laugh.

So we ordered the Greddy T-Belt for the Supra 2 days ago and had 2 day shipping. We called Majestic and told them that we ordered a new belt and it would be there Friday.

Well the belt apparently came in this morning, but it was Greddy and not Power Enterprise like the serpentine belt. It was the ONLY belt they got in that day. They weren't sure if it was our belt so they did NOTHING. They didn't call to ask or put it in the car or do anything. So when we called later on in the day just to verify because we hadn't heard anything we were surprised to find out they got the belt early and decided to not take 5 minutes to just make sure it was ours. Even though we told them it was coming in Friday and no other belts came in today!!

Man, are there ANY good shops in Jacksonville? My Evo is still sitting at Majestic no closer to being finished than a few months ago. I don't know if it's ever going to be done!!

 

Umm..It seems Mitsu service isn't trustworthy or timely, Majestic the same. If we are all self proclaimed gearheads...why are your cars at shops? My garage is the smallest pos I've ever rented, and I've done more sh*t in there than anyone should ever have attempted. Go get your car, buy your stuff, have it shipped to YOU. YOU install it, and you're done.

 

^i agree with that, hell i never did a clutch before my evo, it took some time but hell i saved a good chunk of money!!!

 

As helpful as that was the main thing I don't have in my garage is a frame machine. So if you know how I can straighten a frame in my garage I'm definitely all ears.

And I don't have a paint booth to paint the body pieces either.

If it was just putting stuff back together the car probably would have never left my house and would have been done a long time ago. We did a complete engine swap in a Honda Civic a month ago and that wasn't really difficult at all. But since NOTHING can go fully back together till the frame is straightened there isn't anything I can do about it. Plus I can't do paint here. Putting the rest of the stuff back together isn't expensive at all compared to getting those 2 things done.
