Is there a good evo friendly dealer in SW FL?
just took my evo to obrien for 30,000 mile service. as far as i can tell, did not perform much of anything in the owners manual. i don't even think they would've put synthetic in it if I didn't say anything.
they definetely didn't replace the belts suggested (although they still look good).
it appears 80w90 went into the tranny, center and rear - w/ no lsd anywhere.
so where should i have gone? i bought it at daytona mitsubishi who seemed very evo knowledge-able.

I have done a lot of business at O'Brien and I bought my EVO in Daytona, small world eh.
You just have to tell them EXACTLY what you want done. I changed all of my fluids at 10k, they argued about it, and I said... for reasons I won't say due to my warranty, change my ****. They did it. It's not cheap though.
I also bring them my own fluids just to make sure, but I don't trust any dealers.

i had that idea too. order all the parts/fluids, make them put them on. it's rediculous though. why are dealers so dumb? mitsu will void your warranty for an auto-x, yet their dealers are putting all the wrong fluids in the car and are clueless.
my subie dealer in tampa is awesome (wife has an STi). maybe i'll order all the stuff for the evo and take it to them - ha.
