From what I hear the driver was at the event. If you look at the picture he is sitting down to the right of the light pole, while the two cops are standing to the left of it.
As I was leaving, I noticed 277 exiting Graham St. was backed up, which of course never happens on a Saturday morning. Once I drove past the accident, I noticed there was an undamaged red Mustang parked 50 feet behind, so they must have left as a group. There was also a damaged white Dodge Charger about 100 feet ahead, so I assume the white Mustang and the Charger collided, then the Mustang crashed into the barrier.
That picture does not show the extent of the damage, from the other side the front is crumpled like an accordion, that Mustang is totaled. Unreal.

I was caught in that traffic as well, and the first thing I thought was someone from the event caused it. But It was a plain looking white dodge and some other normal car I don't remember. Didn't notice a mustang?

From the way you are describing it this sounds like a common occurrence at this meet. I wouldn't be surprised if they take it out on everyone else at the event because a few people act stupid..
This.
On a side note, one of my buddies is having a cruise in/ cookout at his shop this sat, starts about 6:30 ish and runs until everybody goes home.
2242 Poplar Tent Rd, Concord, NC
As long as the weather is good, the turn out should be pretty good. So if you're not busy, come on out.
