ROEBLING ROAD - Race coilovers update:

HOLY SH*T. HOOOOOOOOOOOOOLY sh****************t. Before, with the same tires/pressure (255 NT01's) and clubsports, i was only able to hold about 110 mph on turn 9 before i started (which is insane already). Now i'm hitting 118+ and shifting to 5th before the straight, which puts me at 148-152 by the time i hit turn one....the same as the new z06's. The rest of the course proves it futher with the off-camber, decreasing radius turns, which basically are perfect for handling tuning. But what can I say, now the driver has to play catchup with the "new" car...sigh

Motor is stock besides bolt on's and such, maybe 360ish hp on stock turbo. In Robi we trust (btw i did have to take the sway out to the softest, as you said )

Yes, I loved the front grip so much that i tore off my front SE lip because something went wrong with that beatrush undertray, which I have a picture where it started to sag - and then acted like a parachute and pulled the bolts right out of the bumper's plastic mounts. Mind you this was mid straight so i was around 135mph so on the first hits against the pavement it folded it up nicely. A load of duct tape and zip ties and i was on Ferrari bumpers bumpers all day

I remember talking to you about your front tray, i'll call ya later on about options.

Thats really strange...we have had ours up to really high speeds with no problem. Wonder if its a problem with the se lip

I think most of it was the bump i had on the way down, some dirt driveway slumped down further then i expected at .5mph, I checked a couple times and it "seemed" ok but i didn't look on top of the tray to see if it was for real on there good or not, but also I think the mounting points on the SE lip where the plastic fasteners go in was more or less worn from myself, robi, ttp, among others taking it off and putting it back on over and over and over again. So at that speed where the drag would have been doing its job, it gave in instead. It was loud enough when it did go that the cars behind me heard it and backed off without being able to 'see' what was up.

Just spoke to Robi and we have made plans to have him back in Florida at TTP-Engineering in Orlando in April.

We look forward to sharing our facility with him while he works on some more Florida suspension systems.
