After further request and getting great feedback from the Meet, we have come to a conclusion to have a monthly EVO/DSM Meet by joining the AWD bretherens of the Subie camp at the Publix parking lot near the St. Johns Town Center location on the last Thursday of every month at 7pm.

The physical address is: 4413 Town Center Pkwy Jacksonville, FL 32246

Apparently a few EVO guys have been hanging out there already and after talking to a few of the 'ru owners, they are very welcoming to our presence.

 

Good Luck with the meet. Maybe an AWD annual meet in the making...

 

i am down ernie... i am 1 of the 3 evos that usually goes to the subaru meet. the suby guys are welcoming and it would be nice to have an all AWD meet since most the awd drivers out here are level headed here in jax. Also would be a great place to do some part selling/trading. see u there. i kno there are alot more people down to go... they are just recovering from the big meet last weekend

 

New guy with an EVO VIII. I'm gonna try and make it out. I just got the car a month ago and love it. Could use some pointers from people in the know.

I will try to get out of other obligations and be there. Is there a particular reason it's set on Thursday?

 

When we talked about it during the Meet, and broke down what the best night of the week or weekend would be, it ultimately became Thursday night. Then we collectively thought we could try out once a month, and eventually left to hanging out with the Subie guys. A good bit of the guys who were in the conversation already do hang out with them(not to mention a few of the Subie guys rode out with us all weekend), and decided to rock out Thursday nights. Fortunately, the 'ru guys don't seem to be territorial and are welcoming of other AWD bretherens. So for now, we decided to meet at a tried and proven spot where there hasn't been any trouble caused, have 9A to do any quick tuning blasts/runs, and is in a good centralized location among most. Hope you make it since I didn't get to meet you during the Meet.

 

I have no problems with Thursday, I just typically work every weekday, often resulting in late nights so I can be out of the office Fri-Sun. I'll try to make it though. The eclipse is down and out, I have all of the weather stripping/wheels/glass off/out cleaning everything up really nice, waiting on a set of brakes in the mail. I really like that car, no regrets yet, thanks for the info/advice/motivational-pics. Should be ready in time, either way, could take the Evo. Hope to see you there.
