It was run as a bracket race competition....

 

Well I had a great time. Took home two trophies. Best EVO9 class & Overall. Ran my personal best on the 1/8. 7.7 at 95mph during prelims. Like RYUEVOIX said it was a bracket competition to even the playing field untill the Overall where we ran heads up. Thanks to Eddie for putting the event together and for meeting up with me at the Waffle House for the ride along. It was worth the 4 hour drive. Can't wait for the next one. Will post pics as soon as I upload

 

Yeah it was fun my best et was 7.60 @ 96 with 1.77 60 ft but my best 60 of the day was 1.73 I won Evo X cat. and get 2 place in overall runing against pls1968 nice to meet you buddy it was fun so I hope to repeat this event soon in the 1/4 Procco great event and you know we would suport you for the next one take care.BVP thanks for sending the car to the event and win some trophies congrats.Frank it was fun to run with you too car runing strong see you around


Oscar

 

I was able to go @ the last minute--I had fun. The VIII ran a 7.56@94 (best was 95) w/ a 1.7x short time--not bad for a guy who doesn't know how to race in a straight line--only turning & braking Nice job on the tune, Scott--the car felt strong.

Thx to Eddy & Frank for organizing it. It's rare that I can make these special events, as I'm usually busy w/ other events--nice to visit w/ my Evo brothers!

It was a good day, really hot though. And that track was sticky, way more traction then OSW. I drove terribly, but we got our best mph in the 1/8, hit 93. The pro light was fun and so was racing against Oscar (but nerve racking!). It puts you in a different state of mind when you have to line up with him. I was trying so hard to get a good launch I screwed it up. But it was a lot more fun to actually compete then to test 'n tune.

So ........ I was chilling over by a tent waiting on my car to come back to the parking area when I suddenly look up and see Matt with a big smile on his face and these two chicks all over the car . These chicks where ALL about Matt -- hahahaha

I would like to thank everyone that came out and support my event it was great seeing you guys again

The event when well and after all It didn't rain I got a call from JT The promoter of the track that a black evo with a lil wing and another black car went drifting off road at the other track while and excited crowed cheered them on.(maybe we can make a event out of that!)

It was great to see some friendly faces and meet some new people too... and watch some sweet cars run some great times .. Thanks to Procco and Xtremeboost for putting on a successful shootout.
