NC smog/registration?

Hi, im job hunting and one of the areas I may end up is north carolina. I was wondering what sort of smog testing you needed to do down there for registration.

Thanks

No smog testing... do have emissions(Just a plug into the obdII port) and in october we wont even have stickers on the cars anymore... You will still get inspected and all but just wotn have a sticker on the windshield... Either way there are ways around it... alot of us have inspection liscense

Thats a relief to hear. I know if I went back to california, I might be better off just selling the car as is and buying a new(used) one rather than bringing it back to stock.

CLEAR IT... and when you clear a Check engine light it takes the ecu about 30-100 miles to reset and re-learn the readiness codes. so clear it or disconnect the battery or whatever and drive it about 30-40 miles and if the cel is off it should pass.
