Was it the flat black one? Someone ran up to me when I was leaving asking to race someone and I informed him I couldn't since I am breaking the engine in still. I pointed him toward Dave

Brandon, you should have rolled up to the SC DSM/EVO Meet with us. Lindsey and I rocked out 390 miles one way up there on each of our DSM's, and that was a record for Lindsey's girl. I would have cleared over 400 miles on one tank of gas easily, but she was running on fumes. That's with 660's and on a friendly JESTR Tune. The winding mountain roads were amazing and the mountain views were spectacular. Between the two of us, we rocked out over 1,700 miles.

Ernie,

I really would have enjoyed going however due to prior experiences I am a bit reluctant to take the car out of town, at least at this point. I am being really easy on the car so far and keeping a close eye on it. The head stud torque has been checked and it was correct this time so I shouldn’t have any head gasket troubles this time. I really hope this is it and I have no further issues but only time will tell. I've dialed the AFR's in perfectly, and everything looks good aside from some oil residue in the same area my prior engine had a bad crank seal, and what appears to be residual metal particles in the oil from the previous engine troubles So far AMS is not concerned with it and think its strictly from the last engine... I understand that is possible with the turbo oiling system being contaminated, and even with the block getting hot tanked it can never get every single bit out of the system, and that I may see some for a little while. There is a new oil cooler on the car and I thoroughly cleaned the oil cooler lines out. I've saved every oil filter for each oil change in case anything arises.

I should receive a case of synthetic 20w50 TRO AMSoil from AMS today and then I can start pushing on it a bit. The car should also have about 1000 miles as of today on the car which is when I am required to switch to synthetic oil. I have not revved the car past about 6500rpms, and kept the car on wastegate pressure for the first 500 miles and now at 16.5lbs. I am very eager to rev it out and turn the boost up!

On another note, changed the fluid in my new Shep Ultimate ratio transmission which had very very minor metal particles from the gears bedding in. Also installed my rebuilt Shep stage 2 transfer case yesterday. The new Exedy triple plate clutch is broken in now also so as long as the oil comes I should be able to play with the car a bit tonight.

Brandon,
Sounds like everything is in order this time. I pray that no issues come up also, it is hard when a friend is down.

I'm praying big time! Rereading my post I can tell I was interrupted a few times doh... Eitherway it makes enough sense to get the point across.
