Japtrix Tune

Hey guys, I'm going to be getting my car dyno tuned this weekend in Palm Beach Florida with Japtrix. I'm having boost spikes with the Forge Unos MBC so I'm switching to a greddy Profec B spec 2 to control the amount of boost. The car currently has 3 inch turbo back exhausr from Megan racing, megan racing downpipe and cat delete pipe, Apexi air filter, APS Blow off Valve and a Dyno flash from AL. My question is, Have you guys heard anything good or bad from Japtrix up in palm beach?

I've never heard anything of Japtrix. You may want to post this in the Southeast section. If they don't work out for some reason you've got a lot of great tuners in FL like Jestr and TTP.

japtrix is good. i had them install my springs a while back. thing is, last i remember they tune with an afc...which sucks IMO. but who knows... go TTP for tune. i had a great experience with scott and crew.

I don't know about the tune, but I would definitely switch out the boost controller... my buddy went through 3 of them before turning his 4g63 into a paperweight. I have the Greddy and have no complaints no spikes and it has high and low boost settings which I like cause when I let the ball and chain drive it goes to 15 pounds...

haha yeah I freaked out last night when the boost hit like 32 psi. when I floored it in second I could even feel the clutch slip a little bit because of all the boost. That was before I realized it was having a boost spike. So Hopefully the greddy won't give me any issues in the future. Yeah I was just wondering. If a mod could move this to the proper region it would be great. Thanks

Japtrix is good. Make sure Jack tunes it. Also, get your bugs worked out before you get there. Nothing worse than wasting time and money on the dyno.

well the boost spike will be fixed by adding the greddy profec b spec 2 to control the boost which they are going to adjust by making a dyno run. Then once they check the air/fuel mixture and make sure its ok or if they see a problem then they will dyno tune the car. I just wanted to know if anyone had any bad experiences with them or any good ones also.

I went to Japtrix a long time ago, before they moved, back when they were on Lake Worth Rd. and Military Trail.

I had my Eclipse GSX back then, which I had them dyno..... They ended up setting the straps up wrong which caused the buckle to come loose, which got shoved into my radiator, cracking it open. I haven't heard anything good come out of that shop recently. I know they are big in the Mazda world, and are good with rotaries.

Give 4WS a call for a tune, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Oh ya, where in Boynton are you? I have a few friends that live over there. I'm in Wellington, and I go out to Boynton a few times a week.

I live on Lyons and Boynton Beach Blvd. Is there any meets up in our area for Evo's? I've seen a few around here and there but haven't actually had a chance to speak to anyone. I had only heard about Japtrix as far as tuning awd cars in our area. I went to their shop once before to get some stuff changed on my old car but never had a dyno tune from there. Hey 4ws, where are you guys located?

Alright, thats cool. I think I know where you are lol.

Tamer (4WS) lives in Parkland, which is only about 30 minutes south. He does road tunes, and has a ton of customers in our area.

There used to be a meet on Monday nights at the Sonic on Congress and Winchester, but not many people go there anymore. I still do with a few of my buddies. Supposedly there is a new meet at the Super Target on Hagen Ranch.

Give 4WS a call and tell him I sent you and I bet he will give you a killer deal.

Hillisborogh exit off i-95 is the tuning location =-) I prefer road tuning, but if you're interested in getting dynoed we can arrange something with Josh@Palm Beach Performance. They have a brand new mustang dyno in your area.

Give me a call anytime and well talk about your car and getting it tuned!

Cheers!
