New Laws for FL drivers to be aware of ...

Quick summary:

1. Get caught watching a street race and you may get a moving violation ticket which counts as points on your license.

2. There is now an anti-wheelie law for motorcycles.

3. Like to drive really fast? 50+ over the limit is no fun anymore:
......$1,000.00 fine for your first offense,
......$2,500.00 and a 1-year suspension for your 2nd offense,
......$5,000.00 felony charges and a 10-year suspension for your 3rd offense!

Details here:
http://www.flhsmv.gov/Leg2008.htm

316.191(1)
A definition of “spectator” is added to the racing section of statute.

316.191(3)
A person who is a spectator at an illegal drag race may receive a citation for a moving violation.

316.1926(2)
A person who exceeds the speed limit in excess of 50 mph or more shall be cited for a moving violation, punishable as provided in chapter 318.

316.2085(2)
A person riding a motorcycle shall keep both wheels on the ground at all times, unless there is a circumstance beyond their control.

318.14 (13)
A person cited for a violation of s. 316.1926 shall pay a fine of $1,000 for the first offense and $2,500 for the second offense in lieu of the fines required in 318.18(3)(b). In addition, for a second offense, the court shall revoke the driving privilege for a period of 1 year. A third offense will be a felony of the 3rd degree, a fine of $5,000 and a 10 year revocation.

Screw those laws.. You have sex offenders walking the streets and not being charged to the full punishment they deserve.. Complete B.S. Im not saying yay cuz if they are doing those violations it is breaking the law.. But to enforce this type of crap when they need to focus on more serious stuff out there....

Its called a track take it there.. people making personal choices to put peoples life at risk is stupid.. Im not saying that... Im saying to charge people the way they do for this is kind of harsh compared to how you can rape a girl and get out in a year

I would like to see a drivers license that allows one to drive faster than the general public, provided they had taken the tests geared toward high speed driving and manuvers. The license would also include an inspection of your car to deem it stable at those higher speeds. ...but alas pipe dreams. Super Linense Anyone!?

thats a good idea but i dont think it would slide. All them law changes dont mean nothing. If you get a good traffic lawyer theres a chance you could get off with just a fine and driving school.
