If C$ and the crew can't fix it, it can't be fixed

Got a C161e code. I believe its a failed AYC pump. Mitsu techs here in Huntsville "have never seen anything like this before." They said they'll have to contact tech hotline and call me back in for another appointment.

Bottom line, if they can't figure it out, I may have to do it myself. Just wondering if anyone has changed out their AYC pumps yet?

replacing the pump is not a big thing since its basically the same pump as ACD, the new pump will cost you pretty penny. Me and Heath can help you do this. C$

If Mitsu doesn't warranty it then I have a hook up on the part. But I would appreciate your help on bleeding the fluid and changing out the pump.

Yeah it's pretty expensive for a pump. I'm going to be honest though. If I have a big failure with my rear diff, I am going to replace it with the evo 8/9 mechanical LSD. That's what the RS comes with and Robevo uses in his rally car. Saves a TON of weight and it doesn't malfunction as much (No corrosion issues). Could be an option here and you won't have to worry about buying pumps in the future. Or I would be happy to help you and C replace yours with a new pump. From what I understand it only takes about an hour to replace the pump, but bleeding is the task. Just takes a few people and the right sequence.

That sounds cool. I'll have to see if I can make it. Do you have to preregister or can you do so at the event. I have a friend who lives in SE KY with a Subrau Baja I'm trying to talk into going.

I have a question for the guys up here in northern AL. I just got my 09 Ralliart a few weeks ago. I bought it from Major Motors in Arab. I was wondering if anyone on here may have known the previous owner? The dealer couldn't give me any info because of privacy laws. I was wanting to see if I could ask about service records and if there were ever any mods done to the car. I come from a sportbike background and in that community, since it's pretty small you'll almost always run into the guy who owned your bike before. Or you meet the fit who bought your old one. I've done all the driveline 60K service stuff just to be safe and I found out a couple things from the original Mitsu dealer but I like to learn all I can about a car or bike I've bought. Even if it's after the fact.
