To those of us in the Augusta/Fort Gordon, GA area:

If you don't already know, let me be the one to warn you (learn from my mistake) be weary when exceeding the speed limit on HWY-520 (especially heading east), the local smokeys will get you. Unknown to me at the time, they stage on the 520 fairly regulary and have one (or a team) of them with the speed gun, blasting away at your car, then radio their buddy down the road to pull you over and hand you your ticket. Pretty effective, but sucks if you fall victim to it. Happened to me this afternoon trying to make it back to post for formation and got lost (geographically embaressed if you will) on the 520 (keep laughing lol, it's been forever since I've been back in the "souf."). Will know soon how much it'll cost me, but definitly wanted to pass the word, there's not sympathy for G.I.'s out here and they will pull you over whenever possible ><

...oh yeah, almost forgot. They will try to fry you as well for window tinting, regardless of where your car is registered, or what state took the really really bad photo for your license as well. I managed to find some slack about mine (5% in the back doors and rear window, 15% on the front windows) since he already gave me the citation for the speeding, but he told me to not make myself a target (by speeding for instance) and just give the officer something ELSE to write me/you up about.
