I'm really happy today as yesterday i got a notification that I had gotten accepted in to the University of Florida. I was wondering If there are any evo owners around the area or that actually attend UF? I just hope there a nice street scene up there

 

Congrats!! Welcome to gator nation.. UM theres a few evos here. there is a car meet here every thursday night.. I go out there sometimes but mostly trucks and ricers lol, but we do get some rare cars vipers and stuff on those days the meet is pretty cool.. when r u coming??

 

Nice I'll be coming in the summer term and I'll be bringing my baby with me....hope to me you there.

 

I dont attend UF and I live in Ocala but I go to there meet on thursdays its pretty good pending on who you know. Lots of fast cars couple sti's, 240 w/ rb26, corvettes and such. When you come out send me a pm I will get you in with the right people lmk

Gainesville Raceway is 15 minutes from campus. I suggest never driving on campus as the dings and dents will **** you off.

 

O why is there a lot of rocks cause I signed up for the dorms inside of the campus, if so where would you park the car? I'll be going up there to have another visit with my buddy who also got accepted, he has an 08 GTS but is not on this forum. O btw is it a 1/4 or 1/8 mile? Thanks for the answers guys.

 

1/4 mile track.. its pretty nice but a bit unorganized.. why didnt u try getting an apt? dorms life is ehh...

 

the dorm was great freshman year, i lived at beaty towers. Depending on where you live the parking garage will either be a 1/4 mile away or upwards of a mile like it was for me. The spots are just stacked on top of each other so i would try like hell to get a decent spot at the end of a row where you can keep yourself a decent distance away from the other cars. I think i drove my car once a week when I lived on campus, the bus system is so good that you never really need to drive anywhere, especially during the weekdays.

 

I wanna get to know the campus the first year and if I stay in the dorms it'll be fine, I'll probably rent an apartment the second or third year depending if i can find some trustworthy people to share the rent with...o and about the track thats pretty awesome all i had down here was an 1/8th mile and the closest 1/4 was 1 1/2 away. I hope they don't have like curfew or something like that, its freaking college right.

 

just my though and I signed up early to get a good dorm.....thanks for the advice on parking im sure my alarm will drive everybody crazy, but i just hope there aren't jealous idiots like some people down here that stick gum in your spoiler or smash your hood grill....so maybe i wont need my baby when i go there the first year, but i'll take it anyways cause of the track on the weekends and for the ladies

 

Had to bring this one back, I just saw a Silver Evo8 with the TTP sticker on the side in the Jefferson apartments and a Red Evo in the Enclave apartments...who are u guys? I live real close to both of you lol

 

aw, how I miss my days at UF. Gainesville Raceway is an awesome track, it was nice having it that close.

I used to be at the thursday meets when I was there, there was some nice supras and civics with 400+hp and a few nice other cars (300zxs 240sxs, etc).

parking at UF SUCKS!!!! spots have maybe 2-3" on each side extra per car; agreed with other comments, find a good corner spot and take the bus everywhere

 

Im living in an apartment with private parking and I just take the bus to class now, im gonna go check out the track tomorrow evening, hope its good, I just need a helmet to race now.
