Thumbs up Professional tuners in the NC area?

Hey guys, I bought my Evo X GSR a few weeks ago and I've been doing research on light modding. Well it appears that simply getting an Evo X dyno tuned is the first thing you should do. I've seen some pretty outrageous numbers on this forum, from 30 to 75 hp gains from a simple stock Evo X tune.

First off, why can some tuners get 75 horsepower, and some only get 35?

Secondly, are there any pro tuners in NC that can make 70 horsepower from an Evo X stock dyno tune? If so, where are they?

I was thinking about hitting up TTP Engineering in Florida but they're 9 hours 30 minutes away from my house, so it would end up being $650 bare minimum to get the tune done if you count gas and a hotel room. These guys can get 70+ hp from a dyno tune on a stock Evo X.

Let me know if there are any reliable pro tuners in the NC area or adjacent states. I owned a Mazdaspeed 3 before this, and a Neon SRT-4 before that so I'm brand new to the Evo community. Thanks guys!!!

We are ready for you if you decide to make the trip. We have hotel connections through some of our other Evo clients that work in the Orlando Hotel industry.

Let us know if you want to set something up.

there are.. you need to hit up crewdawg on the fayetteville/raleigh forum... he has put up similar numbers on Evo X's already... or make that ominous trip to TTP land and I know they'll get you what you need...

I cant speak to the 70hp increase from just a tune, but in Wilmington there is national speed. they are pretty good have had my eclipse tuned there several times, but it is using Dsmlink. and in Fayetteville (area, not sure if it is tech Fayetteville or not but close) there is Epic Motorsports. Been to both of these personally. both are good. Epic is a Subaru AP Pro Tuner but made a tune for my X. They did a good job considering i have an odd setup.
