by the way do you meet up with any of the crowds on the weekend. i know in the regional forum someone is always trying to get a gtg going but it never smeems to work out. i drive around some nights just looking to hang and meet people but most of the time friday and saturday are dead.

yeh i know what u mean here in sarasota/bradenton fridays and saterdays are dead, it snothing like 2-3 years ago ( probably because of the new law on street racing).

But it would be great to meet up on week ends and cruise, as soon as i get my Evo and my friend his srt-4, i l let u know and we could go cruisin ( bruisin )

anyway did u ever run your car at the track?

yeah man sounds like a plan. no i havent ran at a track yet. im not too partial to drag racing. if there was a road course around id be all over it. but since there is not i have been considering going to bradenton motor speedway just to satisfy the urge to run. even if it that means drag racing. it would be better than nothing

yeh that s how i was when i got my ITR at first, since i am from europe i am more into road racing and rally, but drag racing had to do. When I'll get the Evo and before i go to the track i ll put the ACT clutch in.

i hear ya man. road racing is just more interesting to me. im shopping around for a clutch now but the thing is im not sure if i want to start modding now and throw the warranty out of the window or wait until april '04 (1 year) before i start to "unleash the beast"

i have heard conflicting stories. i have that a clutch will void the warrany but i have also heard contrary to that. i know that OE clutch is not covered under warranty. i thought the aftermarket would void any other drivetrain or tranny warranty

look at it this way, with a good clutch and good driver there is noway u ll damage your tranny ( i talk form experience here)
I blew up my ITR tranny around 20k miles and had it replaced ( $3000 mind u ) after that made a lot of modification to the car, i run high 13's on street tires and now i am at +40k miles and my tranny is holding up better than before for the simple reason i drive my car better and never ever grind gears

to me blowing up a tranny means the car was driven like $hit

On the evo even with a bad driver it should quite difficult to damage it from what i have heard
