Sup all, thinkin ofdroppin my car and when I do I wanna get some streetglows underneath but i'm not sure what colors are legal, or illegal in florida. I was gonna paint my calipers red and go with red neons under my yellow OZ since the car came with black pinstriping with little mitsu logo's near the sideview mirrors that are also red. But anyway, anyone know the legal mumbo jumbo on these things, like where they can go on the car as well??

 

don't know, but i'm pretty sure you can only get the red one and display them like in a parking lot. i think the best place to ask this question is in the regional threads. ask if anyone else has neons and see what kind of hasles they get from the cops. personally, i want to get yellow undercar lights, but i'm going with l.e.d.'s and not neons. leds last way longer and you don't have to worry about breaking the tube

from what Ive heard all neons are illegal unless your parked but then I see alot of people driving with them on

 

hey..well, red and blue are illegal (cop colors) any other colors are fine as long as they are not flashing or anything. you also cant have white turn signals, only yellow/red in the back and yellow in the front, but if u check my profile, u see that I dont care. lol

 

Not to sound like a know it all but under FL law any external mods of lights like color change or adding of lights is illegal. My dad and mother are cops so i asked. On the other hand depending on the area most will not right tickets as long the color is not blue or the lights flash.

Alright, just sharing my experience and all with neons.

First, all white front turn signals, headlights, and parking lights can be white. I've used my turn signals and parking lights(which are white) in front of cops who knows how many times and they haven't bothered my about it. Just like HID lights, those are a blue color look at some angles and they don;t do nothing about them so the front lights are fins white. But no red or blue or any other wild color like that. Rear turn signals I'm not sure of. My firned has withe turn signals in the rear and hasn't been troubled for them at all.

And for underbody neons. Red and blue are illegal. Every other color is ok. Tourquise and green, white, and purple I have know people personally who have had them and drive with them on and never been ticketed for them. All colors are legal when parked in a parking lot for like a show or something. Also you should go somewhere where you can check the official law cause there are exception on some like red where you can have all of the lights on except the front one and stuff like that. All weird stuff. So go check out. Maybe a police dept. will have some info.
