Are you serious? CL ad states $6,000 obo...
Additionally, anyone have any insight into possibly WHY a 12 month old Exedy Twin Disk clutch that was brand new on an Evo with no increase in HP or TQ.... NOW all the sudden decides to start slipping??
I should sell the Evo and keep the bike... the bike is fast stock and requires no upgrades, tuning etc... bah. Love/Hate relationship.

hey George what's happining
I've driven all sorts of manual transmission vehicles from RHD Honda Civics in Japan, Celica's, Mazda's, etc... never had premature clutch slippage, ever... and don't rest my foot on the clutch pedal when driving.
Come to think of it, I never had the clutch adjusted after I had the clutch installed over a year ago... I will see if some adjusting will resolve it. The engagement might be too high. Not a cheap clutch to be slipping already.
:/

Unless they were driven by you for a whole year and at the same power output as the Evo is currently making.
I would say that those Honda Civics, Celicas, etc. you mentioned were not making 500 plus lbs. of torque at the flywheel like your car is making now.
Exedy is a good clutch, but nothing is perfect and every now and then, a part can be manufactured out of spec or tolerance.
I think you have also done some road course racing. That is tuff on a clutch as well.
Like you said, try adjustment on it and lets hope that takes care of it. Twin's should be adjusted lower to engage about an inch from the floor.

TILTON CARBON 6500 dollar's will last about 5k on the street but if you drive it at the track and track only it will last you a year...
exedy carbon is even worse take it from me it's time for a rebuild!
Thanks all
I hear Carbonetics is the way to go for a street car. Before I go crazy on a new clutch I'm going to adjust it and see if there are any improvements. I'd love to do some circuit racing sometime soon, especially with my new setup. Driving it in traffic kills me anything below 20 mph anymore it seems. Car just wants to go...
Real Evo stuff

Do you read? I said I hear and I'm first going to adjust the pedal engagement... The recommendation came from someone quite respectable.
Worst case scenario, an Exedy rebuild kit is cheap compared to new clutch.
Anyone going to PBIR this weekend?
