I wouldn't say "too good to be true", but rather "very competitive"

First step is to get the VIN and call Mitsu to see the service history and if the car is still under warranty.

If all goes well with #1, but you still have lingering doubts... do the carfax thing and if you're really paranoid, take the car to a body shop and have a body guy look it over for repairs. (usually these are pretty easy to spot yourself... plastic panels only painted on one side, VIN stickers missing on metal panels)
