Just an afterthought, but we don't have to wait a whole year to have an evo meet all the way up in orlando. I think a down south meet is in order sometime in the next 6 months.

Anyone willing to help out with an effort to do that would be great. thank you for the thank you btw

Markham park is a good spot in terms of space and location for everyone I think. Here's some more information for whoever is curious.

http://www.sunrisefl.gov/2park_markham.html

Markham Park

16001 West State Road 84
Sunrise, FL 33326

This park is located in Sunrise, but operated by Broward County. Call (954) 357-8868 for information and reservations.

Location:
Markham Park is west of the Sawgrass Expressway and just north of West State Road 84. This park can be located using our City map.

Hours:
Office Hours: Seven days a week, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Park Hours: Winter - Seven days a week, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., beginning the last Sunday in October. Summer - Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., beginning the first Sunday in April.

Overview:
This sprawling, 666-acre County park is perched at the edge of the Everglades Conservation Area, and boasts such distinctive amenities as the Fox Observatory, a model airplane field and a mountain bike trail.

Athletic facilities include a tennis/racquetball center, a biking/jogging path, volleyball areas, and a swimming pool complex with a mist pool, snack bar, lockers and showers/restrooms. A series of interlocking lakes offers opportunities for fishing and the use of personal watercraft. Bikes and boats are available to rent, and there are nature and equestrian trails.

Markham Park's popular outdoor target range is adjacent to a 1,600-square-foot clubhouse with snack bars and a meeting room. Two 120+ capacity and three 60+ capacity picnic shelters - all with grills, tables and water, and two with electricity - are available for rental, and other picnic tables and grills are scattered throughout the park. The park's large campground includes 86 sites for RV and tent camping.

Markham Park is also the site of an approximately three-acre dog park. The canine playground - which celebrated its grand opening in March 2005 - is divided into separate fenced sections for large and small dogs. It features smooth, durable Bermuda grass, as well as eight-foot-wide asphalt paths where owners can walk or jog with their pets. Three shade shelters - two with refrigerated drinking fountains - provide resting areas. The park features a centrally located dog wash area for canines of all sizes, in addition to a separate washing area for large dogs.
