Good luck to the OP...
What a messed up world we live in

Good luck OP.

Something like this happened to my Evo back in 2005 in Columbia, SC.

Insurance (Comprehensive) will cover the lose of your OEM parts unless you have aftermarket coverage. Since you have an MR, each BBS wheel retails for like $850x4 = $3400 plus the lost tires. If you take out your deductible, you should be able to buy a new set.

In my case, they stole the enkei wheels, recaro seats and factory radio. It was like $8000 in damage at the time per the insurance.

BTW I did have $150 Rays locking lugs on the wheels. Didn't matter one bit. Esp, if they had a key.

holy crap, 1000 bucks for deductible, man are you sure! collision is usually that high, but theft, vadalism and fire is usually alot lower, check with you insurance co. it might be less...

Sorry to hear man, I would be devastated, I have worked a lot of hours to get the car to where it is.

I really need to invest in loss prevention for my car. I was thinking...

Removable steering wheel with locking hub
Viper alarm two way key fob, tilt sensor
GPS Tracking
Low Jack
2 or 3 doberman pinchers chained to the wheels
mountain lion
rattle snake
attach hand grenades to the wheels
All locking lugs...wait that doesn't seem to work well, weld lug nuts on
Claymore under the drivers seat
More comfortable drivers seat...to sleep in the car or Hire security guard to watch it while I'm sleeping, they make what...$8-9/hr?
Make a "donation'' to the local police, ask them to keep an eye on it.
possibly a m249 saw on a motion detector, I have a few ideas I have been kicking around.

I hate thieves, did those guys stealing Evos out of Chi town show up in the obituaries yet? Cant wait for that post.

I just got the quote from Mitsu. MR BBS are $1039.15 ea. Which is why I don't pay extra to insure aftermarket wheels. Insurance will take care of me even with my $1000 deductible (which I am lowering. I overlooked that as I've gotten older and now that I'm over 30 I can afford to lower it lol). I'll get reimbursed it's just the principle that people wanna take someone else's hard earned possessions that KILLS me.
