OK well I'm a little dissapointed now...

Guess whos co worker broke their foot or ankle or something and can't work? Guess who has to work double shift tomorrow to fill in his place tomorrow?

Well me. :/

I work at a restaurant and only a few people know how to work behind the scenes and cook and stuff, and we've been busy so we need a few poeple at a time. Well one of my coworkers broke there ankle, I think it is, and won't be able to come in. So I have to fill in for him. I will be working from 7AM-2PM then come back from 5PM-9PM. Wooooo!

I am one of the first people who wanted to go. This would have been awesome too. I just couldn't wait. If there is ANY way out of this tomorrow when I go in to work I am getting out of it. Wish me luck and hope to see me there.

Also I have told a few friends with Lancer/Evo about it and they didn't know. We were going to drive over there together. Hopefully they will still go.

Make sure you take LOTS of pics I wanna see. And as pgmike says, hopefully we have another in the near future.

Talk about a bummer at the last minute. Have fun everyone! I know there will plenty of more times we all meet. I will make sure to make it happen. So I have more to look forward to. Talk to you all later.

 

Well I'll be the first to say it was nice meeting everyone who did attend.

The Evos really are a beautiful thing!!!!

I am only sorry that more lancer guys did not show. I wanted to see their creations. I wish I could have stayed longer than an hour and a half but I had to run by Best Buy.

I gotta get some rest for work tomorrow.

How did it go for the event?

 

It was nice to meet some new people and put names with faces. Hopefully now that more of us know each other, w can do some more meets.

Maybe a go karting meet or autocross meet next?

We had some past meets in Tampa, but it's very hard to get people motivated. Eventually, we gave up.

 

Hmmm. . . I'd have to say over the course of the afternoon about 11 or 12 cars showed.

That's damn good for a meet.

The best that we were able to muster was 6 cars, including two non lancer and about 10 people. Our average was 3 cars, and there was about 90% chance of raining on us. 1.5 hr was the average stay time, and the most was over 4 hours.

 

just got back home. It was great to get out there. We def. need to get something else goin on. It was nice meeting everyone

 

You all know my theory. Once everyone gets to know each other, meets will better . . .etc.

Things will be good when we get some other female drivers. It's kind of funny watching the guys' reactions. . they look at you like, "oh look, a girl, she must be a groupie (aka wife/girlfriend of driver).." so they kind of pass you over. It'll be better when some other girls start showing up.

I suspect they're scared of you guys.

 

That's when they start bringing their BF along as a buffer zone.

On your theory, it may not ring true. Amongst us, we pretty much know each other well. Just time isn't on our side.

 

Well I ended up working just straight 7AM-4PM, but by times I got home I was real tired. And I wouldn't have been in Orlando till sometime after 5. So I decided to just stay home :/

Maybe next meet we can have in Daytona! The last Daytona meet was cool.

 

Well, I was with the oddballs of the group, I guess - none of us knew each other at all.
