Im a new evo owner in North Alabama that is having some trouble. I suspect it to be the ECU. The reason why is below.

When I purchased the car it appeared to be stock except for a bov, mbc, boost gauge, and ACT clutch and flywheel. The previous owner had also said that it was stock so I guess it was modded before he got it. Anyways, I get it home and notice a few things over the next few weeks that lead me to believe that its been modded (bent radiator fins in front of the turbo, stock radio location cut out for gauges i assume). Im thinking the ECU may have been flashed for the mods and never returned to stock when it was stripped.

Its basically stock now since I pulled everything out except the bov, it also has a cone filter. Everything else is completely stock. It gets horrible fuel mileage (at one time 10mpg), and the performance is way down. Its running really rich. I have checked the o2 sensor and even ran a boost leak test (just a small leak at the TB shaft). The last thing I thought of was the ECU. I was just wanting to see if I could get someone to flash it back to stock. I dont have the money to buy the cable and software yet or I would do it myself. Im in between Huntsville and Bham and wouldnt mind driving around those areas to get it fixed, thanks.
