Long shot but looking for this EVO 9 owner!
I know this is a long shot but figured this is the best place to try. I found this EVO 9 at a dealership in Illinois around Chicago area, it was brought in on trade from Florida. If anyone knows this car or the previous owner, please contact me. I was interested in it possibly, but being it's 3 states away and I don't have any friends to go test drive it for me, this would be the next best thing for info on it I suppose.
They sent me a few more engine shots, looks like it also has Tein coilovers and an Injen intake.

I suggest you stay away. Read both pages here.

Awesome, thank you! I would never buy a car without seeing it in person and test driving it first! That info helps me tremendously to not waste my time even considering that one or that dealer in general!
As I posted in the other thread:
When my friend told me someone made this I had to make an account and bring some truth to the table. I'm not to big on forums for these reasons.
That black Evo was 99% sold to me. I was trading in my car and financing the rest. Last minute and all while I was driving home from work one night, my car sputtered and died right on the highway. Mechanic told me I needed a new crank/motor. Knowing I couldn't trade it in for the Evo at this point, I traded it into Carmax as-is. Gave me nothing for it but I had no choice and needed a ways of transportation. Now with pretty much no cash I had to cancel the deal on the Evo but am not gonna be a douchebag and spread lies like others on here.
I before any purchase, have it pre-inspected. Unlike counterforce or kpt6, I had it inspected at a very well known shop that allowed me to have it checked out at no cost. The Evo checked out almost PERFECT. Only issue that came up was the clutch pedal needed adjustment which their service had taken care of next day. Car didn't have any leaks or issues when up on the lift. It's true what they said, no rust underneath. Clean as a gem. Car did have 2 paintless dime size dings that are easily pull able that counterforce stretched to say " a lot of dings and scratches". Honesty bud if you have something against them you should handle it like a civilized adult rather than misleading potential buyers. What counterforce said about "trans had oil residue", not sure where you came up with that. You can barely even see the top of the trans from under the hood without a flashlight which I doubt you did. Sounds more like you yourself checked in such detail that a mechanic or dealer himself would check. Btw, gray Evo doesn't have displaced body panels and wasnt put back to stock. Not sure what sky you pulled that from.. There's people selling evo's on this forum that they put back to stock and that's alright? But when a dealership gets a stock evo, it's gotta have been modified? Sorry guys it doesn't work like that. If they really wanted to they could have taken the Tein coilovers off the black Evo and made an extra buck but obviously didn't. So kpt6 before you make an assumption and try to ruin a reputation with no first hand experience, keep your fingers off the keyboard.
I'm not picky when it comes to buying a used car. At the end of the day it's a used car. If you want it perfect go buy a brand new one. Even then their not perfect. It's not like their forcing you to buy the car by tying you to the back of it and running with your money. They've sold plenty of evo's based on their sold inventory so they must be doing something right. Rather than bash them, what should be going on is support for the rising of an evo enthusiast dealership. This is why the car community here in IL is falling, because of people that bring hate upon others for no reason at all.
Kpt6 I don't know you but you seem to have a motive to down talk them by spreading false info. You cannot simply tell someone you don't trust a dealer because one person chose to share their "vast knowledge of fender and hood displacement". Before you kpt6 bash them, you should have some more knowledge or should have checked them out yourself because little lies that some of these people spread can ruin it for everyone.
Before you listen to these guys, check the car out for yourself. Because there's too many supporters of other dealerships on here that would love to see another fall for their own satisfaction. Not sure how you can even sleep at night. I'm here to just truly give my .02. I wouldn't mind sending over the shops inspection report. If I couldn't have the car, not gonna stop others from pursuing their passion.
Thanks...
