I'm looking at getting a 06 evo, but I know they are quirky cars. So are there any professional shops around the area that are familiar with the cars?

 

There is Vanquish Performance which is in Oldsmar, Florida. Never used them but they said they were well versed in the evo. There communication was meh so never really tried them.

There's two shops that I know of in orlando which one is Central Florida Turbo and TTP Engineering. Central never replied or called back when I was asking for some quotes. TTP never answered the phone but will respond to emails. Only shop I've used so far is TTP which so far has been pretty good.
