There is a national APA 8ball league chapter in town that competes every tues nights at Trick Shots on Old Winter Garden and Hiawasse Rd. Jade Motorsports formed an 8 ball team and competes there. It is fairly easy to join a team or start a new team and start shooting pool there. It is $6 a week to be a member. And members get as much free pool time as you want during the whole week there!
The winning teams at the end of each session gets to compete in the regional tournament and then if you win there, it is an all expense paid trip to VEGAS to play for big money against winners from other states. And best of all is you don't really have to be too good at pool to compete because there is a handicap system in place. I don't shoot much anymore but I hope to find some time on tuesday nights to start up again. Everyone is welcome to come and participate as well. The more the merrier.
