I want to go. I need to get better pads and brake lines. Also, maybe a rear swaybar and endlinks.

i don't know bout u guys but i wanted to vote for the evo. it funny looking at forums for other cars. i say evo all the way. maybe we should put up a poll in this forum and see the results (obviously the evo will win, biased opinions)

We're all biased towards what we drive but someone made a good point. Both these cars are very close in terms of real world performance. Numbers; horsepower, torque, curb weight, are only the beginning when comparing cars. I think this particular challenge will be a close one. Over the next few weeks more will be revealed about the cars and the drivers. I can tell you that there are some wild variables which will make this a truly interesting battle.

Like me. Inexperienced driver and fast car = all h311 breaking loose in the gravel pits.

Here we have the age-old question - which is the faster car:Evo or STi? Which, given equally talented drivers, would prevail at a road course, or at the drags? This event will forever put the road course question to rest.

The Prize: Loser pays winner's entry fee and/or Loser sticks M.Daisy sticker on his driver side rear window.

Where: Sebring raceway - long course

When: August 28, 2004

Rules
  • Full disclosure of parts on vehicle on August 1, 2004 (limited to stock allowed)
  • Street tires
  • Interior remains intact
  • Cars completed by 8/15
  • no "ringer" drivers

Schedule

Drivers - PM me

Spectators - Noon start time, BYOL (Bring your own lunch), 5pm End of Event, 5:30pm Dinner and mixer
