Fall GA 3S/GA DSM Track Day and Import Showdown - Oct 10th
That's right, it's time for the Track Day to return for the Fall. We are returning to Silver Dollar Raceway for the second time this year. This event will be similar to years past, with a mix of open runs and competitions. We've added some additional classes to the Fall Track Day to "test" them for next year. However, we are also going to change the way we do qualifying so hopefully the amount of time spent on qualifying/competitions and open runs will be the same as the Spring Track Day.
We're also holding a social event/cookout on the Saturday before in the Macon area for those coming in from out of town and staying at the official hotel in the area.
Here are the details:
What: Competitions and Open Runs
When: Sunday, October 10th
Where: Silver Dollar Raceway - Reynolds, GA
Cost: $10 gate entry race or watch, $15 tech cards via pre-registration, $20 tech cards day of the event.
Time: Gates open 10am, racing starts at 11am.
For more details, including classes and rules, hotel information, track information check out the official site: http://www.importshowdown.com

I just got back home from the Track Day and I want to say that it was worth it, my friends and I had a lot of fun and we enjoyed to be part of a well organized event
Paul,
I really enjoyed meeting you and your crew, you guys made me fell like home and it was very nice meeting you all (with the exception of the black Porsche...just kidding lol)

IHatePorsche,
I loved having you guys out! Definitely always welcome backout to any of our events or get togethers. I do hear ya on the Porsche too. I think a lot of us felt it. He's good friends with the 3Sers though. Plus, bad driving in previous rounds let him into the finals.
Definitely some good runs too, couple of boosted Hondas running mid to low 11s, with the final winner actually running a 11.22. GA DSM's Vice President had his SRT4 on slicks and run 11.9s, plus my friends Shawn Bowen's turboed Z3 ran a 11.6 on ET Streets.
And who could forget the SL65AMG running 11.6s 100% street, pump gas and street tire.
Looking forward to spring.
