NC evo owners?
nah i dont think it is supposed to rain sat and sunday...even if it does, they wont cancel the show...its just going to be REALLY muddy and REALLY humid so everyone make sure you bring some POS shoes and water...
the only problem i have heard thus far is hotels are cancelling people's reservations b/c people from florida are evacuating and staying further north...why someone would leave florida to stay in a hotel that is still in the hurricane's path is beyond me, but everyone might want to double check with your hotels...
also, i heard that atlanta motor speedway is using their parking lot as a campground for these florida people as well...so parking may be limited...i dont know if this is a rumor or not...guess we will see this weekend...
but according to Nopi's site, the show will go on no matter what

What's up...I haven't been out to the forums lately. I'm glad to see some of you doing the rallyx. I participated in the first THSCC rallyx with my Evo at Four Oaks. I withdrew after the morning session. The field in Four Oaks became very rutted and my Evo's fender dug in. It ended up popping out a lot of the pastic under molding and jamming a bunch of dirt in the lip along the bottom of the fender. The wheels with the open spoke design became very clogged with dirt. Other than that, it was an absolute blast. I did put on some temporary mud flaps to keep the rocks from scratching the side of the car, but there really weren't many rocks once I got out there. Once the Evo gets some more nice smooth track time, I'll probably start doing the rallyx again. I want to keep the suspension in good alignment for the track events. The rallyx can also mess with your alignment.
So who's up for the Track Event at CMP October 23-24, 2004. Here's the link:

Oh and Fevo7, I got your ECLC handout on my Evo in front of the Hot Point Deli in Cary a few weeks ago. Good to see you gettin' the word out.

Yo, I know all of you are busy and occupied. But I think it's only appropriate to setup a group dinner. Not sure if it's worth to open a new thread for this topic. Please give me some input as to who's interested in having a gathering. Day will mostly be on Friday or Saturday.
thx,
