dont tint headlights in cold~
so last saturday i had some free time so i went over to pmall and picked up some vht niteshades to tint my sidemarkers and to blackout the corners of my headlights. The can says (and so does everyone else) to do it when the temperature is 16-35*C. I didnt listen. What ended up happening was that the spray didnt go on evenly, and i ended up with tint that was clear.
it doesnt look that bad from far away, but from close up it doesnt look too good. My sidemarkers turned out ok, but Im going to be redoing them in the spring when it gets much warmer, as well as tinting my taillights. My headlights are more even on one side but lighter, and darker and uneven on the other side. Another thing that i realize is that you use a lot more spray when its cold, and you see the effect of the tintspray less, meaning you end up using more of the can and getting less result. So dont waste your spray, resist the urge to do a rush job and wait till its warmer, youll save time and money.
here are some pics~
