This poll is for all the tlc members , its to get input on how many meets everyone feels the club should have a month , the club is still new so there are alot of trial things going on to see what works and what doesent so now its time for the tlc members to voice their opinions , the poll will close at the end of the month before the june schedule is released , if you ever had any ideas for meets - locations days numbers etc then now is the time to speak up and voice your opinion , input of tlc as a whole is very important

 

Two weekdays and one weekend would be nice. Then whatever special "events" people find. ????

I definitely don't mind the Fairview location... that means shopping for me haha

I already travel like 2 hours (or 1 hour if Im feelin speedy) so going a little further won't make much of a difference to me.

my car is 1.5 years old... 39 000 kilometers

i live in aurora and i drive to scarborough and back regularly... but i think you are in peterborough if my memory serves me correct... and you come up town and back.. just curious.

as for meets i picked 4...have two on thursday one on wednesday and a weekend one or do two on wednesday and one on thursday just decide that from which day more people come out

i know i have been out to any meets yet this year but i think that will be changing soon especially if we keep the weekday meets those are best for me if work doesn't interfere

i think 2 or 3 meets sound about right. 2 meets would mean 1 every other week, and if u have 3 that extra one can be incase one gets rained out.

 

haha well i am not going to be able to make all of them like i know wednesdays i won't be able to make it and i know some of the weekend ones i won't be able to either...i was just thinking if you do one every week then it gives a chance for people to make it out that maybe haven't been able to make it out before because they have only been everyother week

no not really i drive alot and i mean ALOT, last year i drove over 50,000km so an extra 100km round trip won't kill me haha and sometimes i am working in the city so it shouldn't be too bad

 

My car will be 2 in July and it has 22,500KMs

 

this is exactily the point im trying to get across as to why 2-3 meets a month is a good idea , not everyone can make it , and it give more people a chance to come out that might not be able to make it if its just one a month , TLC is more then a car club we go there to chill out with everyone not just look at cars

 

Like I said before, stick with two. this would give a chance for those who couldn't make one try to make the other. One a month I would think of for winter time...No??

We could also try experimenting on the dates and set up meets at not just parking lots but say have a dinner night,or BBT, or even set up a late cruise to a photo op. there are tons of different things that we haven't tried.

But of course there are also those unofficial meets such as CSCS, etc.

 

yeah and its a great point, i agree with the whole its more than a car club thing too, yeah the cars are what are bringing everybody together but its not all about meeting at the spot where the most people are to see your car and to get attention and stuff like that it eventually is just coming out to hang out with friends that just so happen to have the same car as you ha...and maybe weekly meets is a little too extreme for right now with the club starting out and all but eventually it can work its way up to that..and maybe by that time you have enough people to do individual east and west side meets with one big meet happening once a month or something like that
