Wide Body front kit for the 2008+ Lancer

More pics will be posted on my blog sometime tonight. But all i can say is it looks stunning

Add note.

In less then 30 days I am going to Execute a group buy for bodykit lips front and back prices per lip kit range from about 200 up to 350 dollars per piece. If you buy in pairs, the price will go down.

Shipping generally averages out to be about 250 dollars per piece on its own. if shipped in bulk the price drops big time.

I am importing two hoods because two people have already paid me the money, which is 1000 dollars and will be shipped via DHL. the more orders that join, the larger the Rebate (money you get back because of bulk shipping) these prices are estimates but i will be more detailed in the next few days.

Since the car club structure is changing this will be the last importation overseen by me. The car club will eventually switch toward a (for profit business model and I can not say what this will cost) so if you are interested in ordering any bodykit you have heard me mention or that is on my blog. speak up now.

Cheers

the kit is definitely something different, some will love it some won't.

the only thing i dont like about that kit is the hood, the rest looks doable if your car is mainly for show. theres absolutely no need for that many vents, like come on, even the GTR, a twin turbo V6, has only two small vents. does the lancer's naturally aspirated inline 4 really need that many?

LOL, I think the whole kit is hideous except for the hood.

to each his own right. It's completely fine to share ur opinions on the kits and give feed back. I personally like the fact that they do different projects that are either original and also themed projects like this one. I like the attention to detail and the accuracy of the conversion. This is why I think I might turn my personal body kit design idea over to them. I have a high degree of confidence that they can take my idea off the drawing board and bring it to life.

For me it's not about the designs. It's their quality. And durability.... Mygirl has already crashed my car twice and my urban kit is still alive. LOL. I am alittle scared to get another LOL but oh well

For a long time I have been asking rick for this type of hood, my take on the hood is that its a good balance of performance/function and compatibilty.

It's vents make it great for both the evo and boosted lancer and with the proper mode the to the engine bay can enhance Sri and radiator efficiancies. A dedicated Sri vent and a down stream vent at the nose running cool air down be hind the rad repectivly.

The look for sure may not be loved by everyone. But it gets top marks by me for doing something different.

But u r right. For a regular lancer the vents are overkill

LOL

ii think that big vent on the top will slow down your car.. too much air forced into the car instead of passing over it is bad aerodynamics.

one day i left school and boarded the 404 North to Aurora. and i was gassing like crazy but my car was sooooo slow to wat i normally felt.. when i got home, i found that my hood was not properly closed from the night before when i filled up some washer fluid.

all the wind was going under the hood and my engine area was acting like a brick wall.

yes that is true. but everything about design is trade offs and if the design changes have enough positives to make it worth it.

My ideas take the design of the hood a step further work to affect engine bay temps. If done very well the net effect would be + performance.

At the very least. you come away with a unique looking hood

But ya you are right, even minor changes can affect drag aka increase drag

I donno soul, that just looks like a giant-mash up (no offense). A lot of unnecessary things. I dont really see many benefits of this kit either. I dont think the lancer needs that much cooling as you say.

well i think theres already enough cooling for the lancers/evos/ralliarts i mean look theres a huge hole in the front of the car =P maybe instead of additional vents they should make something for insider the bumper/hood to direct airflow, instead of increasing airflow and potentially drag
