Officer communication: Google Gmail / Calendar
In the hopes of increasing our clubs productivity, I would like to urge / push club members involved in special projects to sign up a google gmail account. This will give us the ability to better colaborate club events and discussions by utilizing these good services.
Gmail is probably the best spam filtering email out there, and can be easily integrated into your phone for easy email retrieval and sending if you have a smart phone or OS based phone like the Iphone or Windows Mobile devices
The Maps feature is amazing. Not only do you have access to maps, but there is a new mobil tracking feature that will allow a mobil phone user to share his location with a selected group of friends. So good if you want to share you location with other club members for cruises but dont want to share it with your girlfriend lol joking..

The calendar feature like the gmail will allow us to communicate instantly and all be on the same page when it comes to events and organizing events or making checklists. Now that we are integrating our club with some dealerships in terms of service and sales. this will help us big time.

I am in talks with Bell to see if we can get the HTC touch (original version) for almost nothing. The logic is that Bell offers decent plans (par with telus and rogers) But has the advantage because you can get an unlimited data plan for only 7 dollars a month. Period that it, download all the music, pictures and other online crap as much as you want for 7 dollars a month. Perfect. This will be open to both officers and regular members. Both the phone deals and the other features mentioned above, just keep in mind that the officer network will probably be their eyes only.
I will keep everyone up to date with the bell package if we can get a group plan I will work that out as well. Rontam, you mind helping me out with this?
