Reason why they are called "Stealerships"

Went in today for oil, filter change and to fix the loose window. So i decided to ask the parts manager how much the Evo X hood vent inserts would cost for my CF hood. $250 each for the left and right and $275 for the middle and colour match to the car. WTF!!. About $750 after taxes for plastic vents which is crazy.Anyone know of any good aftermarket manufacturers?

From: the land between lancer and evo
but then again.. its the dealership. Not to defend dealerships to heavily. but they are saddled with costs that you dont exactly see up front. They are holding up the brand. and that has costs.

I agree the prices are high. very high. but when you look at their liabilities. You can get an idea of why it costs so much.

The problem in our cases is that A) we are in Canada and there is almost no aftermarket here. B) the bad economy will limit aftermarket development in alot of areas since vendors will only make a product where they know there is a demand.

That said. A dealership agreement has been tentatively hammered out between 1 of 3 dealerships. so we will be seeing an automatic 10% discount across the board for service and we will be working to see this applied to parts as well.
