HID kits from Pacific Mall?

I'm interested in purchasing an HID kit from pacific mall. I found 2 brands that I was interested in. Eurolite and Bac. I understand these are actually chinese HID's and not "european" i don't really care but, what is the quality like for the 2 of them?

I'm thinking of the 6000K versions. its selling for 150$ and an extra 50$ for the other harness for glitch.

is it a good buy?

I am not here for force anyone to buy our perferred HID kits... actually quiet the opposite. Its good to get feedback from people about whats out there.

The only advise I would give to you is... (and i am not speaking about just this specific situation, but in general terms)

1) Ask them if it causes Radio interference, alot of kits out there, even some saying they are high quality or from japan, end up being poorly made / miss represented product. No kit should cause radio interference.... So in other words, if it has interference can you take it back for a refund?

2) If the Anti flicker doesnt work will they help try to solve the problem or allow for refunds.

Other advice I can give you is... talk to them see if they have any examples of the kit on other cars, sometimes the owner of the store might have them in his car.. 6000k varies big time from brand to brand. And sometimes what you will see is huge jumps between 6000k kits and 8000k kits. Its hard to see which kit is right on and which is off color a tad... sometimes both are. In this case its really wise to go out and find someone with the same kit and if it fits what your looking for grab it.

I will try to post some pictures from the meet tonight which will show HIDs from Me and some of the other guys.

Cheers

i bought 2 of the eurolite sets. low beam and fogs. i get compliments till today.. and no problems.. had it for over a year.

high mark up though.. 170 a set.. no discounts .. only thing is that the fogs are brighter than the low beams.. maybe because of the reflectors and sometimes one is brighter than the other but not too noticeable.. i live up in aurora where there are no lights on the 404 north. and this this thing works wonders.

too lazy to post all this pics you can see the rest here. These have not been edited or changed in anyway except to reduce the resolution size so they are not massive 2MEG files. in one of the pictures i think i removed licence plate numbers.

are the low beams and fogs just the bulbs they sell on the racks?

hmm..how come the reach of the beams from other cars vary dpending on the "K" of the bulbs? is it coz the bulbs aren't pointed straight or just the angle of the camera from the cars?

The low the "K" the higher the light output, when means the light travels further as seen in the picture. You can see a step in the lights depending on the "K", 8000k is a shorter reach compared to the 3000k.

Props for a good picture to show this .

But the angle does come into play, ive adjusted mine to prevent blinding on coming traffic.

I have always loved yellow light ... but when ichanged my game and switched up to HID yellows. its even better. I am hitting signs like miles away on the highway. And zero issues in bad weather. They work so well, that there is no improvement in lighting when I turn on my stock fog lights. You can sit inside the car and turn them on and off and there is no diff. The yellow beam is great.

We are going to do another photoshoot at the next meet for the HID lights. this time the cars will all be lined up and head on shots from each will be taken.

I think there are going to be like 10 cars at least that have HIDs that we can do this and take samples

you think there would be difference in lighting distance betweenfogs and hids,....yeah rite. have you tried the high beams yet. compared to the hids the high beams are low. at least mine are gotta replace those oem highs

the real life colors are close but remember camera photos can be a little miss leading. this why i took joint shots cause we can multi points of reference. but the 6000 is a good balance between white and blue.
