Question Question....

Hey guys, do you need to modify an evo x front bumper to fit the Lancer GTS? or its a straight bolt on?

Reason for asking is, Im trying to see if theres anyone here is interested to buy my EVO X front bumper RR, with APR CF Front Lip and APR CF side canards. No set price yet. Just wanting to know if this would fit first with no problems or major modifications. Before I go ahead on the sale.

Thanks!!!

I think the bumper is a little too wide.
Not positive though.

inorder for evoX bumper to fit, because it's wider you'll need the stock evoX fenders as well

but then u'll have a wide front and narrower rear end

the kit is wide body so it shouldnt fit. if it did you would see alot of lancers out there with that front end after an accident

keep in mind guys the part of the front bumper which lines up with the headlights is the same between the evo and the lancers.. as is also where it bolts to the fenders.. the front bumper isn't any wider, its the fenders which are wider. Even if it was out by a tad, the bumper is urethane and could easily be made to fit flush with out gts fenders if there was an issue.

incorrect, the bumper is wider so that it does line up with the evo fenders. the bumper would sitck out about an inch on both sides with norm fenders. you are correct about the the norm HL and the evo HL they are in the same position relating to the bumper but in terms of the mounting pos on the fender nope. course if you pay a body shop enough money Im sure they would make it fit.

Like I said it would stick out about an inch on both sides

EVO X body front width 71.3 in
Lancer GTS Body front width 69.3 in

Not a huge gap but still some

There was a post on project lancer.. the guy overseas bolted on a evo front bumper.. He must of pulled the sides of the bumper in that 1" on each side then..

So verdict is?? will bolt on yes, but sides may need to be adjusted by an inch give or take in order to line up with lancer fenders.

Will, did you measure a evo or something?

lol, Don't even ask me how many bumpers I've taken off. Got it down to a 10 minute remove and install and that's with a smoke break.

We tried to test fit one in the body shop when I was there.

I wouldn't try it unless you get the evo fenders and wider tires
