tlc july 24th test and tune aftermath
so after the event heres my comclusion about parts for this car
sri vs cai , cai wins hands down , once i got into my 678th runs my car started slowing down because of all the warm air being sucked in , and you can forsure see the guys with the cai pulling more top end then sri
rrm timing module does make a difference , and is worth every penny , this mod id reccomend
sprint booster , well it does do what its supposed to do , but all your getting is throttle response , which does feel good in the car but it makes no performance gains at all , i know there is alot of r&d that goes in this product but 320 price tag for no performance , i dont think ill be buying one anytime soon
2.0 gts vs 2.4 gts , you can see the difference when the guy in the 2.4 is lookin at you in the rear view , the 2.4 does make a big difference , pretty much a second quicker all around
the stock rims are too heavy and the stock dunlops suck , the difference between what i had and a member with 17lbs rims and some nice performance tires was noticable with .3 of a second quicker ,
i think the trick to this is learning the tree and launching on the last yellow light , by the time you move the light will be green , then knowing what rpms to launch and not spin too much in the gts , i was around 2-2500 , then the shift points , after looking at all the dyno chatrs i thought it was best to shift at 6000 and do it as fast as you can
these are just my personal opinions based on the information gathered from this event

yea launching @ the last yellow light is so key, bootX42 and i was launching @ the green @ first we couldnt understand why our reaction time was so slow until everyone told us to launch at yellow. cut
and knowing ur own car and how much power it can handle @ launch is key as well for minimal wheel spin
we should go circuit as well!!
btw i just plastered everyone's opionion on the first post so its easier for people to read our comments one after the after

cirsut is gonna be next year , its something people really need to prep their cars for and save some flow incase something breaks , it will give us time to get the decals done for tlc racing and to get our team ready for the 2010 season
its interesting how ur speed @ end of 1/4 is slightly higher than mine (85.5)
but i hit 1/4 mile faster than you do, same w/ 0-60
i think its my rally armor mudflaps acting as ''air brakes'' creating more aerodynamic drag
bcuz they stick out 1 inch on each wheel , and at higher speeds their drag slow down my accerlation
oh well nothing i can do about it...they are functional to save my body panels
hah

also imma check out early september for another test n tune event
is everyone feelin the same thing the friday night one or a weekend test n tune?
the friday night ones are usually always open but weekend test n tunse are often shared day with other shows and comps , so the friday night ones we are more likely to get more runs in and weekend ones are a little bit more
