gt custom exhausts

hey there,

i was reading up on the forum and i saw a post about custom exhausts at gtcustomexhaust. i was just wondering if anyone has done this and how mcuh was it. im considering a tsudo n1 currently, but if i can get one from this place that is smaller, and for a similar price, might go for this instead.

im also wondering, for the people who got the custom exhaust from gt, did u just pick any exhaust on their selection and get some mandrel bends and flange?. looking for an AB so i dun need to weld anything to the car.

thanks in advance

Non Turbo charged cars actually need back pressure in the exhaust system.

Running a low restriction system hampers low-end torque and high end power.

Tons of studies have already been done on this.

Yes i can understand that but i did feel my car launch faster.....didn't leave it that way, so its all good. And its just reducing the flow of a muffler, im not talking about taking the resonators off and the cat out.

Butt dyno? I'm sure the loud exhaust "tone" makes you think that the car is faster.

What ever floats your boat tho,

FYI.

Resonators are free flowing to a great extent, All it basically is, is a piece of tubing with a larger I.D that allows sound wave energy to be dissipated into heat by passing the exhaust gas and its accompanying wave pattern, through perforated tubes and tuning chambers. Passing into perforations and reflectors within the chamber forces the sound waves to dissipate their energy. Look inside a resonator and you'll see what i'm talking about.

Also, Cats have very little affect on exhaust flow on N/A cars.

The Muffler is the only exhaust component that helps create some degree of back pressure.

...And Magnaflows uses a 'Straight Through' design on their mufflers.... so....
