Good man! In all honesty I regret getting the CVT, f'n paddles are collecting dust because im used to having my hand on the shifter. Hopefully you can make it to tomorrows meet at Kennedy Commons 8pm.

I haven't used the paddles once. I always just use the shifter if i'm gonna use that mode, and even at that I barely do. It seems kinda pointless.

For me i didn't regret getting a CVT... actually i lied. i do want M/T. but only sometimes. i hate driving M/T on 401 coz its always traffic and sometimes after a long day from work - tired and weak. i don't wanna work again to get home with shifting and all. So i guess it has its ups and down for me.

But anyways, See ya at the meet.

exactly how my gf feels at first! props to her..she learned how to drive a stick in a week after her week of driving by herself...she got stuck along 401 in traffic..and she hated it! lol! but now she's cool w/ driving w/ or w/o traffic!

we're curious with how paddle shifters work, is it the same concept as m/t, with the clutch and all... do u have to release the gas to shift as well??

Nope, just gas and shift like a regular tiptronic. The only difference is it stays in gear and doesn't change on it's own, so you could be red lining all day (or until it breaks) and it won't shift for you like a reg tiptronic would do.

oh ok... so like the left paddle is for clucth?? and the right is for gear up/down? you can shift even if your stepping on the gas pedal?

oh yeah, one can def red line if they're not paying attn. although you can hear & feel your engine having trouble if you don't or if you forget to shift up...i guess it depends on how well you know ur car...
