Do people go for drives aimlessly?

i haven't done it in a long while, but i decided to take a quick (ended up not so quick... abt 40 mins) detour as i was driving home from downtown at arnd 2am. lapped a majority of lakeshore slowly, then hopped onto the gardiner and cruised at a slow but constant 70km as i soaked in the city's night scenery. my favourite trance mix helped the cause. it felt pretty unreal at some point, 'twas a very soothing drive to say the least.

anyone ever do stupid stuff like this?

I always just go for random drives. One night I left at 9 and didn't come back till 4am. Just drove all over the country side.

i really love how late at night, the roads are wide open and there are very few cars to be seen. there was a stretch of gardiner without any cars in sight and it felt like i owned the road. i was doing gentle "S" maneuvers all the way down

3-4 times a year me and my friends drove up to the North(Muskoka/Huntsville) for joy ride, 1 car/1 driver/no passenger.

Typically in average we start out 6 in the morning, and return in the evening, non-stop driving only stops for lunch/gas....800-1100 km per day, but lots of fun in the country roads

The first year i owned an evo i'd go out constantly at weird hours.. really loved the car back then

I appreciate everyday the car sits now even more - weird but, every mile I dont drive the car is a mile saved to me

****ry roads are the best , when i worked up in haliburton they were a dream , open smooth and clean and the straights and curves are the best , plus the scenery is real nice
