for a trial and error job, it turned out great. I am not so good with the technicals so it would take me a whole day. and then when i finally give up I would call AJ and get it done 30 minutes later.

All in all. looks good

perhaps... but one thing that is disapointing on mitsubishi's behalf is why some of our EVO's still dont come standard with HIDs like in the states.

I got word that there are projectors on the way from Taiwan. Next month I think there will be an update. No word on if they will have angle eye variants.

hey guys i just order a set of angel eyes from automoglow i only have one concern which i hope someone can answer for me. My headlights have a light smoke vinyl film from shinzo. I was wondering if this can be left on during the baking process or should i remove the film prior to baking the headlight

^ I think you would need to remove it. The heat will make it bubble and even lose its colour.
Order another pair form shinzo or lamin-x.

NOT TRUE!!! Mine had shinzo's tint on them, and I was concerned as well but they came out the same way they went in (Still tinted after baking twice). And no bubbles or any imperfections whatsoever.

nice one andrewm56. i do agree with what some of the ppl said about the BMW thing but honstly. these lights are designed for looks. as long as they enhance the looks for your car and you love it, then get it.

G had them on his car before and i thought they looked sick on a WW lancer. it looks really nice on a black one too. im glad you didnt get red ones lol

everything you get is from overseas. honestly, why not just go with a local shop. saves ALOT OF $$$$$$ FOR THE MEMBERS.

1) no customs
2) no exchange rates
3) no shipping
4) no stock up fees

i know the price is cheaper in asia. but yo, after adding up all those costs, its gonna be relatively the same minus the wait.

iunno man just a thought.... why not try automoglow?

its a nice thought, but unfortunately, with the economy the way it is, R&D budgets are slashed everywhere. I would love for there to be more availability of every mod under the under the sun... sigh... but there isnt.

I have considered about opening a shop... who knows

BTW.. What I was refering to was the design of an entire Projector Headlight housing. A DOT / SAE Compliant set

your right hydrolikz, we were talking about projectors and Angel eyes, but it boggles my mind how other things creep backing in.

Getting back on topic, I do wish our cars came with projectors standard like the RalliArt. Angel eyes is an interested option, but there is a debate about weather or not they belong on any car but BMWs, I like them but dont have the experience to do the upgrade my self. As soon as I get my fogs upgraded, I am going to think about working on those with a simple ring to compliment the Yellow bulb I want for them. AJ is already running with 3000k bulbs, i want to see what it would look like with a ring.

keeping this on topic...

in my opinion, angel eyes is a BMW signature design cue, and should remain on BMWs only. Just like Audi's have their signature headlight LEDs, I don't understand why people want to degrade their own cars. I use the term 'degrade' because i think that is exactly what they are doing, proving to others that they themselves cannot be original and lack creativity so they simply copy someone else's design.

to me, putting angel eyes in any car apart from BMW is no different from putting altezza tail lights when your car is not a lexus altezza (IS300), or honda fanboys rebadging their cars as type R's when clearly it is not.

you appreciate good design by acknowledging its creator and stepping back to let the design speak for itself, NOT by imitation and certainly not by mass reproduction. This is what kills good design, and hinders creativity.
