I need a helmet by the next few weeks,

I was looking @ and Love the hjc hx 10 helmets, does any one have hook ups on this? went to JRP just to try one on but they want like 1k for it

what do you guys think about it?
I love how light it is!

 

To buy that = more $$$ then brain.

Man any SNELL or DOT approved helmet will do just fine.

buy a regular ARAI helmet and put the rest of the $$$ towards a harness or something else you will actively use.

LOL Thank you.. I know I wanted to spend 200-300 but went to JRP and loved this one,, dont care that much for the CF but the helmet its self was so damn nice and comfortable!

Edit: Oh also its a Christmas present from my parents,, Just havent picked one out yet,, they will pay 3-400 so Ill just pay the diffrence if there is one

 

no point in dropping huge money on a helmet when you have to replace it every 4 years or so depending on when the snell runs out.

get one for $200-$300... try on a bunch, different styles, full face, enclosed ect.. you'll find one you like.

 

I'm very glad your not gonna waste your money on HJC carbonfiber sillyness.

I'm going to get one to replace my AR10 , it's so much easier on your neck after 20-60 min race.

probably give you good prices, since they sell lots of helmets (more than a car shop) with bikes. There are a few other brands out there that look similar, but I agree with most...CF helmets are a waste. On the other hand, I would never go plastic again. Fibreglass is a happy medium, and priced well.

edit: before someone jumps on me, yes I know there are different auto helmets vs motorcycle helmets, but I have yet to find a track day/auto x event that discriminates. Also, bike helmets are half the price.
