$1400 and change for a replacement cat

Saturday I started hearing some nasty metal and gargling sound coming from my car, so decided to take it to my buddies shop to have it checked out. Found out my catalytic converter is clogged up and ready to let go. Decided to be curiuos and find out what Mitsubishi charges for a replacement cat...$1400 and change lol

Im just replacing it with a magnaflow cat or such and probably deleteing the resonators at the same time. Small chance I might pony up and buy a complete exhaust system put who knows.

Not even a year after buying my GTS, I walked into a honda dealership to talk about trading in my car for a Si and the guy was telling me not to do it. His exact words to me was that I would "lose my shirt" if I traded in my car since Mitsubishi's tend to lose so much in value. The sales rep told me to just keep driving my car and swallow the fact that I was sick of it and the issues or just sell it privately. So if your trading in your car with that much mileage don't expect too much.

I am likely trading up for another Mitsubishi car so the trade value wont be too bad.
But i have an offer from Mitsu and another Car maker so we will see how it turns out
