well my cel came on. I got a custom catback done.
got it checked and it said it was running rich and low efficient.

any way around it

custom piping with a magnaflow hi flow cat and magnaflow muffler and resonator also magnaflow.

a buddy of mine also did it, it came on but it went off. he has the rrm piggy back ecu tho

is it p0420 cat below efficiency?
i have the same code..lol..i have a UR hfc pipe + custom cat-back

it all depends on the ecu..a lot of people have catless test pipe but the cel never came on~

You need a O2 Simulator between the HFC and the O2 sensor. It doesn't always work, but it works alot of the time

i have the magnaflow high flow catback, my CEL also came on, once in a while. It would come on, my ECU would be telling me that my car is burning fuel inefficiently (e.g.when car is coasting at highway speed the gas consumption is increased by ~1.5L/100km) eventually with more highway driving it would go away, however once i hit a stretch of city driving it would turn on again. This cycle repeated about 4 times, and after a month or so worth of driving I havent seen the CEL since.

The shop that I had my catback installed said that it might be the O2 defouler that is causing the issue (combined with your ecu attempting to readjust to the new exhaust). All in all it took give or take 2k kms for the issue to resolve itself, but i dont have custom piping like you do.

my milage is the same if not a lil better and I can feel more power output.

I'm getting the cat replaced to see if it changes
if not I'll wait till it tries to reset itself

Do you know how to do the 02 Simulator process or direct me to a site? Thanks.

you don't need one.
got my cat replaced with the sensor in the back of the cat, not the middle like the oem cat was. that was 2 weeks ago my cel hasn't come on (knock on wood) but it doesn't seem like its going to come back on.
