There's something I'm wondering about... if that rear diffuser is metal... and it's touching the exhaust which will make it hot........ and then that diffuser is bolted to the plastic rear diffuser on the bumper... is that going to make the plastic "diffuser" that is part of the bumper melt???

Physics would hint at such a thing . Only way I would see this not happening is if somehow the heat was dispersed from fast driving before the heat reached the diffuser.

This has been in development for a while with no issues. The choice in metals will determine its heat dissipation properties and was something that was looked at early into its development.

Even so, has it been tested at the track where it's ran the hardest? Might not be a bad idea to put a layer of kevlar or heat foil / wrap in between.

There "test car" probably never seen a track day with this thing on or period, and it definitely isn't "Daily Driven" Plastic sitting on an exhaust for extended periods of time = Melting + Warping, and looking at this "prototype" it needs more than a minor adjustment to avoid that.

Thanks for your analysis Hydrolikz, but what your looking at is not plastic but metal. Powdercoated. I should know because I was the one who drove this variant to the powder coating facility in L.A. before the MOD Event.

That said, there have been multiple variants of this item created. Each variant has been tested to keep OEM temps in mind, but also Some Aftermarket exhausts Variants in mind. So they are a bit beyond plastic molds my friend. Matter a fact The people working on the EVOSOUL performance package are in fact real profession drivers and take the time to beta test everything that comes out of the development side. This item was debut along with other EVOSOUL items at the MOD 2010 event.

So to answer your question, YES this car is tracked and tracked more then its daily driven. Big time.

The cars have also seen a significant amount of time on the track. We have actually taken the time to upgrade the clutch and braking system last week during my visit. Pretty fun actually

what about a single exit option..you can use my car if you want to measure up n such..but my exhaust hangs much lower then stock and at a weird angle. This looks good and will help with wind under the car.
